Gabriella is a half Dansih and half Greek-Cypriot designer. She holds a MA in Textile Design from the Design School Kolding majoring in textiles for the Interior Design sector and a BA in Fashion & Textile Design. As a designer she experiments with traditional techniques in combination with new innovative methods and materials e.g. 3D printing, creating a design where both past, present and future can be merged. It is accomplished through her personal artistic approach and unique colourful imaginative universe.
She generates a unique story with a high complexity utilizing storytelling tailored to each project and values inspirational sources by non-design related subjects e.g. scientific facts. She appreciates the challenge of translating these elements into the "language" of textiles.
Gabriella has for several years been concerned about sustainability within the textile & fashion industry. Her BA thesis was dedicated to an untraditional biodegradable material made from fruit waste, where zero waste pattern cutting also was applied.
